A true child of the 90’s, her new EP, Say Yes, echoes the influences of Veruca Salt and early Foo Fighters, while garnering comparisons to contemporaries The Gaslight Anthem and Death Cab For Cutie.

Lauren cut her teeth as a background singer, making a name for herself as one of the most sought-after young vocalists in Music City and collaborating with a wide range of artists, including Paul McCartney, Passion Pit, and Little Anthony & The Imperials.

After being named the Grand-Prize Winner of the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest, Lauren Strange decided to step into the spotlight herself. She formed The Pretty Killers in 2012, and has been winning over crowds ever since. From the dingiest underground clubs to the stage of The Ryman Auditorium, Lauren Strange & The Pretty Killers continue to perform with the reckless abandon of her grunge-rock heroes.

The single from her new EP, Say Yes, was named one of the top fifteen songs of 2014 by Nashville’s biggest rock station, 102.9 The Buzz. The record has gained national acclaim from fans, peers, and critics alike, and endorsements from Gibson/Epiphone Guitars and MAC Cosmetics. Her first full-length album is expected in 2016.

“If you were to paint Taylor Swift with whiskey barbecue sauce and throw her in a blender with Kurt Cobain’s skull and a pound of sugar, you’d have a Lauren Strange smoothie.”
– Jonathan Cate, Fancy Rhino Creative Agency

“She has a beautiful voice. I was knocked out by her songwriting…”
– Jack Douglas (Producer: John Lennon, The Who, Aerosmith)
